Morgan was one of the actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women, which focuses on AIDS prevention and awareness. The proceeds from the film were donated to American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been the driving force behind numerous fundraising initiatives for the cause and she also testified before a special Congressional committee on AIDS education. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar as well as the Board of Governors of APLA. She was asked to fill in for the former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop at AIDS-related events. Steve Bell, a anchor on the news, has been host of an AIDS Awareness Special. She's appeared on Nightline with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan has won the Emmy award for Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was written just for Morgan. Morgan was a co-star on ABC TV's Your Money or Your Wife during the spring season alongside Joan Rivers. Then, she began the summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It also had Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The next film she was in sent Morgan to Luxembourg to star in Harmony Gold's production of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that also featured Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also played in an action-packed psychological thriller that was exclusively produced for USA Network. This thriller was a huge success and earned the top reviews of all time for that network.
